Magnetic after effect measurements are made on α-iron samples after neutron irradiation at 77 K to a dose of 1.98 × 1022 neutrons m−2. The various relaxations which occur are analysed and their correlated annealing behaviours are also investigated. Since vacancies are generally considered to be immobile below room-temperature, these relaxations are discussed in terms of interstitial and interstitial agglomerate relaxations.
