Archaeological monitoring report reveals no significant impacts across surveyed historical sites, indicating effective cultural resource preservation during infrastructure construction.
This document is an archaeological monitor report. Cultural resource monitoring activities were performed during the installation of the Backbone Fiber Optics Transmission System. Of 25 previously recorded sites in proximity to the project area, five were intersected during Phase I and six during Phase II. An additional seven sites were intersected during Phase II but not impacted by construction activities. Results include: the discovery of four isolated artifacts, discovery of no new archaeological resources, no significant impacts to known archaeological sites, and minimal disturbance to plant species of special concern.
