Research has shown that cognitive and other psychological skills can increase the effectiveness of athletes. One systematic training program that takes advantage of these factors is visual motor behavior rehearsal. In this article, the origin of visual motor behavior rehearsal is delineated and the first detailed description of the training program is presented. Administration, case examples, and the efficacy of the program are discussed.
