Molecular weight distribution of polypropylenes was determined by turbidimetric titration at high temperature. It was found that the type of molecular weight distribution of these polymers is a log‐normal distribution function in a range of I(M), (cumulative weight %), between 5–90%. The effect of heterogeneity in the molecular weight distribution of polypropylene on the viscosity‐molecular weight equation was examined experimentally; the results agreed with those calculated from theory.
