Sarcoidosis is a systemic granulomatous disease of unknown etiology affecting multiple organs. Although oral involvement is uncommon (10-15%), when manifestations appear in the oral cavity, they present to the oral healthcare provider with significant treatment challenges. A thorough update about the condition and its related disorders is necessary for the oral healthcare provider to effectively render treatment to such patients. This paper is a review of the epidemiology, etiopathophysiology, diagnosis, oral and systemic manifestations, treatment and orodental considerations in patients with sarcoidosis.
