The main features of the “Happy Puppet” Syndrome are severe motor and intellectual retardation, ataxia, hypotonia, characteristic facies with a large mandible, and epilepsy. The E. E. G. shows bilateral high amplitude spike and wave activity, the slow wave component being at 2 c. sec. Two children with these features are compared with the five previously reported cases. The condition is non-progressive. The aetiology is unknown and there is no specific treatment. Keyword Syndrome - Epilepsy - Mental retardation - Ataxia - Characteristic facies
