The ambipolar diffusion is studied in nitrogen thermal plasma for 4000 11000K) and for the lowest (T<8000K) temperature values. These coefficients are dependent on actual population number densities encountered and not only on temperature. It is shown that as a first approximation the ambipolar diffusion coefficient for electrons can be identified with the ordinary diffusion coefficient D NN+ .
