A novel chemical solution deposition method has been developed for the preparation of ferroelectric strontium bismuth tantalate (SBT) thin films. The chemical process is based on the synthesis of air-stable solutions. Ferroelectric SBT films, derived from these solutions, have been crystallized by rapid thermal processing at a low temperature (650 °C). These films are fatigue-free up to 1010 cycles and retain their polarization up to 105 s.
