The coexistence curve of the system methanol/carbon disulfide is determined by observing the temperature of phase separation of 32 samples over a narrow range of composition close to the critical point (10−5≤t≤ 10−3;t= (Tc‐Tc)/Tc). The functional form of the difference in order parameter in terms of mass fraction, mole fraction, or volume fraction is consistent with the concept of universality of critical phenomena. The following critical data are obtained: mass fraction of carbon disulfideyc= 0.805 ± 0.005;Tc= (34.281 ± 0.002) °C; β = 0.329 ± 0.005.
