When heated, esters of N‐alkoxycarbonyl‐prolinol with arylsulfonic acids rearrange to alkylarylsulfonates and perhydro‐pyrrolo[1,2‐c]oxazol‐3‐one by an intermolecular process. The syntheses of pertinent prolinol derivatives are described and their mass‐spectrometric fragmentation processes investigated, using DADI‐analysis.
