In the TL glow curve of LiF TLD-100, peak IV appears as a shoulder to peak V. There are few data available on trapping parameters for this peak in the literature. The relative intensities of the two peaks were reversed by annealing the sample at 423K for 23 h before irradiation. Trapping parameters for peak IV were determined in such a sample using four different methods: (i) isothermal decay, (ii) initial rise, (iii) glow peak area, and (iv) glow peak shape. The order of kinetics value (b) was found to be between 1.4 and 1.5 both from isothermal decay and glow peak area methods, indicating retrapping of charges during TL emission. Another physically meaningful parameter i.e. the ratio of the retrapping probability to the recombination probability alpha / beta , was determined to be 0.1 from these two methods. Activation energy E was estimated by glow peak area, glow peak shape and initial rise methods and is found to have a value in the range 1.26-1.46 eV. Frequency factor s was determined independent of E from isothermal decay study and it has a value 1.06-1.5*10 13 s -1 , which is of the order of lattice vibration frequencies.
