Based on boundary theory, this study sought to determine factors related to single, noncustodial fathers' physical involvement with their children. Eighty-six fathers from the National Survey of Families and Households (NSFH) who met sample criteria were studied. Multiple regression analysis indicated that three factors facilitated paternal involvement after divorce: satisfaction with parenting, fathers' perception of their influence on their children, and fathers' geographic proximity to their children.
