Plasma treatments in H2 and NH3 RF (13.56 MHz) glow discharges have been used for modifying the surface of PEEK‐WC‐PU membranes. Water contact angle (WCA) and X‐Ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analyses were performed to study the compositional changes of PEEK‐WC‐PU membranes after grafting. Cell culture experiments with human hepatocytes clearly show that grafting N‐containing groups improves the cyto‐compatibility of the membranes.
