Integral cross section for the rotational excitation J =1→3 of n-H 2 molecule by Li + impact is measured with an ion energy-loss spectrometer. Above 150 eV, the rotational excitation occurs in the strongly forward scattering. The cross section obtained at 155 eV is 2.5×10 -16 cm 2 .
