A one‐step method has been developed to synthesize ZnWO 4 spheres with a hollow‐core diameter of 450 nm and an outer spherical diameter of 1.2 μm. Experimental investigation reveals that the ZnWO 4 spheres are formed through nanoparticle aggregation and ripening. Furthermore, introduction of appropriate water quantity to the reaction system is a key to obtain hollow‐core ZnWO 4 . The as‐obtained ZnWO 4 hollow spheres exhibit a blue emission in the range of 350–550 nm, centered around 460 nm when excited at 254 nm.
