High-resolution (0.10 cm^-1 full width at half maximum) photothermal ionization spectroscopy has resolved the ground-state splitting of interstitial lithium into a singlet (E_1S(A₁)-E_2P±=66.61 cm^-1) and a triplet (E_1S(T₂)-E_2P±=66.98 cm^-1), and resolved four different $1S$ states of the D(Li,O) complex: E1S-E_2P±=61.75, 66.54, 67.05, and 70.50 cm^-1. In siliconrich samples with [Li] > [O], a new complex, D(Li,X), was observed with E1S-E_2P±=70.72 and 67.24 cm^-1.
