A facile general strategy was designed for the preparation of AuM (M = Pt or Pd) alloyed flowerlike-assembly nanochains (FANs) with the assistance of diprophylline as a structure-directing and stabilizing agent. The as-prepared nanochains exhibited improved electrocatalytic performances for ORR.
