The focus of this paper is the flexural behavior of corroded pretensioned girders strengthened by carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) sheets. An evaluation is conducted of seven-wire steel strands on the residual capacity of pretensioned concrete T-beams subjected to static flexural loading and the viability of CFRP for repair is assessed. Mass loss due to corrosion and repair condition served as the experimental variables. Results indicated a reduction in flexure capacity of up to 76% and midspan deflection of up to 26% at 10% mass loss. CFRP was found to restore load capacity to uncorroded beams but could not reverse the reduction in ductility due to corrosion.
