The worldwide rapid growth of cities is often accompanied by significant increases in health and mental health problems. The Urban Mental Health Scientific Section of the World Psychiatric Association carried out an international survey on urban mental health among mental health professionals. The survey posed questions on various mental health topics. The results of this survey highlight the many challenges cities face in dealing with increasingly problematic issue of urban mental health.
