This work investigates the structural arrangement of heavy quarks in three-particle systems. The analysis is carried out in the context of the method of dimensional inflation which is shown, by comparison with the exactly solvable case of harmonic confining potentials, to provide a realistic appraisal of quark correlations for heavy-quark systems. This sheds light on the symmetry rearrangement inherent in three-particle systems and on the origin of baryon-meson mass ratios.
