Titanium aluminum clusters [Cp2Ti(μ2-F)2AlEt2]2 (2) and [Cp(C5H4)Ti(μ2-H)AlEt2]2 (3) have been synthesized by the reaction of Cp2TiF2 with AlEt3 in various molar ratios. The single-crystal structure of 2 shows a nonplanar eight-membered-ring core of Al2F4Ti2.
