The magnetic field dependence of the IRM and TRM of spin glasses is interpreted on the basis of Néel’s cluster model. Particular attention is paid to the commonly observed TRM maximum. The experimental results are well explained by modeling the observation of Beck that it takes a finite time for the magnetic field to be switched off. The cluster volumes are taken to be distributed according to a Gaussian probability.
