The synthesis and properties of different types of sydnonimine salts have been investigated. The stability of these salts containing different types of acid components has been examined, and their behaviour towards bases and acids and on catalytic hydrogenation is described. The UV.‐ and NMR.‐spectra of a number of these compounds are given and discussed.
