To the Editor.— I found myself heartily agreeing with Dr Glew1in his assessment of the use of double negative construction. I could not believe my eyes when I got to QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS2in the same issue. In answer to question 2, the third paragraph began, "Not all nonunions are not painful nor..." This one looks like a triple negative shooting for quadruple!
