The near band-edge photoluminescence of cadmium sulfo-selenide single crystals CdS x Se1-x is measured at 4.2 K. The origins of the observed luminescence of CdS x Se1-x are assigned by analogy with CdS. Emissions due to excitons and donor-acceptor pairs are clearly identified, and the dependence of these emission energies on the composition X is obtained.
