The paper is devoted to a review of methods and results of investigation of polymer nanocomposites both in world and domestic scientific practice. Experimental techniques for determination of their mechanical characteristics are considered. It is shown that modern materials science deals with a great variety of filled polymer composites. Their properties vary significantly depending on the filler type, which can be various kinds of nanosized structures and particles.
