For the general case of three-dimensional steady incompressible viscous fluid flow, the maximum value of the Bernoulli function is shown to be reached at the flow boundary. The validity of the discovered principle is illustrated by an example of the exact analytical solution. Simultaneously, it is shown that the minimum value of the Bernoulli function does not obey the analogous principle.
