He stated that they were abrupt in onset and varied in duration from a few minutes to twelve or more hours. Some of these attacks were observed later in the clinic and thought to be auricular paroxysmal tachycardia. This was confirmed seven weeks after their onset (see EKG no. 148, plate I; compare original EKG no. 123, plate I).
