Anti γ globulin activities have been demonstrated by fluorescent staining in the inclusions of leukocytes of patients with seropositive rheumatoid arthritis. Other patients lacked such inclusions. The strong relationships in rheumatoid arthritis between staining for γ globulins and the seropositive state, and between presence of inclusions and lowered joint fluid complement activity, have been conformed. The mean levels of γA and γ globulins, but not of γG globulins, were higher in the joint fluids of patients with rheumatoid arthritis than in other patients.
