Reactive processing technology is rapidly coming into widespread use in the plastic industry as a tool for both simplifying conventional polymerization processes and creating innovative polymers and their alloys. For a long time, we have been making great efforts to develop the technology and systems related to this field. In this report, we describe fundamental functions of twin‐screw extruders and introduce some applications of reactive processing using the twin‐screw extruder. Furthermore, we discuss the future trends of this technology.
