An analysis is presented of the angular correlation between fluorescence photons and subsequently emitted Auger electrons following K-shell ionization. The relative intensities of the Auger lines change in the coincidence experiment compared to the normal Auger lines measured after direct 2p photoionization. A theoretical model is introduced to account for angular correlation effects and applied to reproduce experimental findings.
