Theoretical re-evaluation uncovers revised core counts and negligible return forces in cyclic cosmologies, indicating that entanglement Casimir forces cannot drive cosmic collapse.
Photonic Universe Hypothesis (PUH) — Restatement with Corrections. WHY THIS EXISTS. Theorem 140 has been cited across this archive since March 2026 — for amalgamation, core permanence, the seeding of planetary systems, and the entanglement force between cores — while existing ONLY AS A GITHUB GIST, with no permanent identifier and no version of record. This restatement places it on the record and checks its numbers against results filed in the six months since. THREE REQUIRE CORRECTION, AND ALL THREE ARE GIVEN OPENLY. The original priority stands at March 2026; nothing in the mechanism is new here. THE MECHANISM, UNCHANGED. Planck cores merge with full conservation of lattice mass on Planck-scale proximity, and merging is ONE-WAY — cores grow and cannot evaporate — because the process is topological rather than thermodynamic. Primordial cores from the previous rebound cycle seed this cycle's stellar and planetary systems, so every gravitationally bound object contains a central core that grows over cosmic time. Three drivers were proposed to return all cores to the next Planck star: entanglement attraction through the SPF, spacetime reabsorption at the inner boundary, and outer-boundary reflection. THEOREM 140.1 (the entanglement premise, intact). All Planck cores from one rebound are maximally N-partite entangled. THE ARGUMENT IS ABOUT ORIGIN, NOT NUMBER: the Planck star is one E8-symmetric 248-dimensional object, and the rebound produces its daughter cores as RESONANT MODES OF THE SAME ORIGINAL STANDING WAVE — not copies, but one object expressed at many scales simultaneously. Particles emerging from one quantum state are entangled; two photons from one atomic decay are bipartite entangled; N cores from one E8 rebound are N-partite entangled, every core sharing the same topological quantum numbers with every other. THIS HOLDS AT ANY N, which is why Correction One does not touch it. CORRECTION ONE — THE CORE COUNT IS 10⁶⁰–10⁶¹, NOT 10⁸⁰. The floor is hard and comes from the framework's own quantisation: a Shell sits at r = 2GM/c² and cannot be sub-Planckian, so m_min = l_P c²/2G = 1.088×10⁻⁸ kg = 0.500 m_P. Mass conservation across all three sectors gives N ≤ 1.38×10⁶¹. With T287's τ = 5/2 spectrum, where dN/dm ~ m^(−5/2) and the normalisation CANCELS, N = M/(3m_min) = 4.59×10⁶⁰ in our sector and 1.38×10⁶¹ across all three. THE SPECTRUM CHANGES THE ANSWER BY A FACTOR OF THREE, NOT BY ORDERS — THE COUNT IS ROBUST. And the source of the error is identifiable: the nucleon count of the observable universe is 8.97×10⁷⁹. THAT IS THE 10⁸⁰ — THE RIGHT NUMBER FOR THE WRONG OBJECT. CORRECTION TWO — THE PERIOD IS 252 Gyr, NOT 300. The theorem's own formula T = π√(R³/GM), with its own inputs R = 4×10²⁶ m and M = 1.5×10⁵³ kg, gives 7.943×10¹⁸ s = 252 Gyr. The value is sensitive at the 20 per cent level: 290 Gyr at R = 4.4×10²⁶, 218 Gyr at M = 2.0×10⁵³. IT SHOULD BE QUOTED WITH THAT RANGE. Consequently we are 5.5 per cent into the outward leg, not 4.6. CORRECTION THREE, THE SERIOUS ONE — THE FORCE IS TOO WEAK. The entanglement force is an entanglement Casimir effect, F ~ (ℏc/r⁴) × ℰ with ℰ = 1 for maximal entanglement, propagating through the field rather than within spacetime and therefore unscreenable and undiluted by expansion. BUT ITS MAGNITUDE IS THE DIFFICULTY: 4.63×10¹¹³ N at the Planck length, 3.16×10⁻²⁶ N at one metre, 6.31×10⁻⁷¹ N at the Earth–Sun separation, 1.11×10⁻¹³⁰ N at the Hubble radius. AT THE EARTH–SUN SEPARATION IT IS 1.8×10⁻⁹³ OF SOLAR GRAVITY. RESULT 140.2: THE ENTANGLEMENT FORCE CANNOT DRIVE A COSMOLOGICAL RETURN BY ITS MAGNITUDE. An inverse-fourth-power law is enormous at Planck separation and negligible at any astronomical one. Driver 1 does not do the work the original attributed to it, AND THIS PAPER STATES THAT RATHER THAN BURYING IT. What survives is the entanglement itself — a statement about shared origin and shared quantum numbers, independent of both the force's strength and the number of parties. THE CORRELATION IS REAL; THE PULL IS NOT. WHAT STANDS. Amalgamation with mass conservation; one-way topological merging with no evaporation; primordial cores seeding present systems; and Theorem 140.1 at any N. CORRECTED: the count, the period. WITHDRAWN: the entanglement force as the return driver. DRIVERS 2 AND 3 ARE UNEXAMINED HERE, and whether either can supply the return Driver 1 cannot is the obvious next question. KILL-CONDITIONS: (i) if cores can be lighter than half a Planck mass the floor dissolves and the count rises — the floor rests on the Shell not being sub-Planckian, which is the framework's own quantisation and not an independent result; (ii) if the universe's mass or radius differ substantially the period moves, and Section 5 gives the range rather than hiding the sensitivity; (iii) IF DRIVERS 2 AND 3 ALSO FAIL ON MAGNITUDE, THE RETURN HAS NO MECHANISM AT ALL and the cyclic picture loses its dynamics; (iv) if the cores are not resonant modes of one standing wave but genuinely distinct objects, Theorem 140.1 fails at its root. NOT CLAIMED: that the entanglement force has been measured or is measurable; that the return has been shown to occur; that 252 Gyr is precise; that the core count is exact, only that it is 10⁶⁰–10⁶¹ rather than 10⁸⁰; or that this restatement adds any mechanism — IT ADDS ARITHMETIC AND CANDOUR, AND NOTHING ELSE.
