Econometric modeling study demonstrates fishery catch equilibrium aligns with maximum sustainable yield under matched marginal costs, highlighting practical frameworks for marine accounting.
This study develops a blue environmental accounting model to support sustainable fisheries in Indonesia's blue economy. Using regional data and a descriptive quantitative approach, an econometric model aligns fishermen's catch behavior with the Maximum Sustainable Yield (MSY) principle. Equilibrium occurs when opportunity cost equals the marginal value of fish catch. The model integrates environmental considerations into fisheries accounting and marine resource management. Although the findings provide insights for sustainable fisheries management, the analysis relies on aggregate data and simplified assumptions, suggesting the need for validation using micro-level and dynamic datasets.
