Conceptual framework reveals alternative models of order and relation in human perception, suggesting perception can operate beyond foundational categories of space, time, and matter.
Thinking Without Space, Time and Matter is a conceptual statement within Andreas Vigl's artistic research project In Surge of Reality. The project questions space, time and matter as compulsory starting categories of human perception and thought. Rather than claiming a reality beyond these categories, it explores what other forms of order, relation and possibility become thinkable when they are no longer taken for granted. Artistic and material practice becomes a method for developing and testing such alternative orders. This Version 1.0, dated 7 September 2026, documents the concept and its identifying title.
