The cerebellar cortex of new-born kitten was cultivated in vitro and was silver impregnated by BODIAN mehtod.Figures of neurons were traced by ABBE's apparatus and features of dendrites and neurites were observed. Neuronal elements are classified into five types and their correspondence to the phases in the development of the PURKINJE cell and other kinds of nerve cells in cerebellar cortex is discussed.Swollen masses along the path of neurites and terminal endings are described and discussed.
