The author studies the wideband approximation of radar echoes. The objects are described by their distribution D in the range velocity plane and he considers the inverse problem of reconstructing D given the echoes of some signals. A special choice of signals leads to an integral transform which maps D to its integrals over hyperbolae. This transform is related to the Radon transform and an inversion formula is proved.
