A graphene-polydopamine hybrid was prepared and decorated with ultrafine Pd nanoparticles to give a stable catalyst that disperses well in polar solvents. Its catalytic activity was investigated in the reduction of 4-nitrophenol, K 3 [Fe(CN) 6 ], methylene blue and rhodamine B.
