This paper reviews four experimentally measured properties of waves which propagate in a media which has a dispersion relationD(k, w) = 1 - w²ₒ w² + k²ₒ k² = 0where woand koare characteristics of the media. We examine a transmission line, ion acoustic waves and electron plasma surface waves and find similarity in the properties. Differences that are found are also explained.
