The preparation and characterization of the unstable-in-air cubic solvate C 60 ·12BrCCl 3 ( a = 27.591(3) Å) and the air-stable hexagonal solvate C 60 ·2BrCCl 3 ( a H = 10.16(3) Å, c H = 10.89(7) Å) are described. Results are compared with those for parent C 60 solvates and discussed in terms of potential superconducting properties.
