13 C‐Cross polarization magic angle spinning (CPMAS) NMR is excellently suited to studying the solid‐state structure, conformation and molecular dynamics of oligothiophenes, but to date few data are available. The investigation reported here focuses on a homologous series of unsubstituted oligothiophenes. It is shown that 13 C‐CPMAS NMR is capable of detecting changes in the symmetry properties of the oligothiophenes and of discriminating between odd‐ and even‐number oligothiophenes.
