The colorimetric method for the analysis of the molluscicide trifenmorph (N‐tritylmorpholine) in water has been extended to allow analysis of trifenmorph alone under field conditions. A simple chromatographic stage has been used to reject the hydrolysis product triphenylmethanol. The modified procedure has been useful in the field during recent applications of trifenmorph.
