In this work, yttrium oxide (YTO) nanoparticles were synthesized, and their effectiveness in eliminating Eosin blue (EB) dye from textile effluent was evaluated. YTO nanoparticles eliminated 81.6% of the EB dye at pH 5 in batch adsorption studies, with an ideal YTO dosage of 20 mg/30 mL. The Langmuir isotherm and pseudo‐second‐order kinetics were the leading mechanisms, indicating that chemisorption and monolayer adsorption were the main processes. van der Waals forces, hydrogen bonds, and electrostatic interactions were the primary drivers of removal. The YTO nanoparticles exceptional adsorption efficiency across four cycles was confirmed by reusability testing. These findings demonstrate the potential of YTO as a sustainable and efficient nanoparticle for the removal of EB dye from wastewater.
