Octahedral M[N(CN)2]2 (M = Cr, Mn) have been prepared and exhibit a spontaneous magnetization below ordering temperatures of 47 and 16 K, respectively, due to a transition to a weak-ferromagnetic ground state. This is contrast to the ferromagnetic ordering observed for octahedral M[N(CN)2]2 (M = Co, Ni).
