Higher selectivity for oxygenated products was observed in CO-H2 reaction when hydrogen was supplied separately by the permeation through Pd membrane, than that when both CO and H2 were supplied on Pd surface from the gas phase, indicating the direct participation of bulk hydrogen for oxygenated product formation.
