A computer simulation model has been developed for spherical particles, which utilizes the physical properties of the suspension and the operating parameters of the filter to predict the overall filtration characteristics of the suspension. The influence of the solids concentration, particle size distribution, flow rate and differential pressure are incorporated into the model as program variables.
