Oscillator strengths (f numbers) and Franck—Condon factors for the A—X and B—X band systems of CF are presented. Separate results for CF(A—X) based on directly measured radiative lifetimes and shock-tube intensities are compared. These data indicate that the heat of formation for CF2 and especially CF may be significantly different from the accepted JANAF table values.
