Characteristics of temperature and field‐induced ferroelectric‐antiferroelectric phase transitions are reported as a function of composition. The ferroelectric compositions were found to exhibit remanent polarizations of the order of 30 μcoul per cm 2 , coupled with low dielectric constants and piezoelectric response. Evidence is presented for the existence of a polymorphic transition in the ferroelectric rhombohedral region of the system PbZrO 3 ‐PbTiO 3 and the existing phase diagram modified accordingly.
