Resistivity damage rates have been studied in high-purity austenitic Fe-Cr-Ni solid solutions during neutron irradiation at 23K up to doses of 2.7*10 18 fast neutrons per cm 2 . The production curves have been interpreted in terms of the creation and recombination of Frenkel defects. The following values of the Frenkel pair resistivity rho F and of the effective recombination volume v eff have been derived: Fe 64 wt.%-Cr 16 wt.%-Ni 20 wt.% alloy, rho F =13.9 mu Omega cm per%, v eff =217 atomic volume; Fe 59 wt.%-Cr 16 wt.%-Ni 25 wt.% alloy, rho F =12.9 mu Omega cm per%, v eff =229 atomic volume.
