We show by using a combination of conductivity relaxation and dynamic light-scattering experimental data of the glass-forming molten salt 0.4Ca(NO₃)₂-0.6KNO₃ that the near-constant loss and the loss from cooperative ion hopping are not additive contributions. Instead the data support the interpretation that the near-constant loss crosses over to the loss from cooperative ion hopping.
