The use of Duco cement for making epidermal imprints for microscopic examination is described. The procedure is similar to that employed for several other synthetic and natural liquids and involves the application and spreading of the liquid plastic which upon drying gives a thin transparent film. This is then peeled off and examined under the microscope. The imprint gives excellent replication of different kinds of surfaces, and the imprint shape is maintained permanently. From a detailed comparison made between Duco cement and other products in common use, the former seems to be a considerable improvement over other similar products. Photomicrographs are presented of some surface imprints obtained using it.
